40-year-old female with family history of breast cancer and pain in the left breast. Mammography demonstrated a small group of pleomorphic calcifications. Due to the location of the calcifications close to the chest wall, stereotactic biopsy could not be performed. Open surgical excisional biopsy after preoperative wire localization with confirmation by specimen radiography (bottom right) demonstrated a 16-mm high-grade DCIS with accompanying flat epithelial atypia (FEA).
